Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

Title: Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

Anime/Manga: Anime

Season/Chapter: Season 1

Date Aired: 2017

Genres: Action, fantasy, magic, school, comedy

Ongoing/Completed: Completed

Plot Summary: A lazy man gets talked into taking a substitute position for a professor at a magic academy. Within hours, the students hate him because he doesn't teach and seems to only get lazier as the days progress. One day, the school comes under attack and this lazy, good for nothing professor seems to be the only one who can do anything. People are not always who they appear to be. Is this professor any different?

Review: The characters' profiles in this anime are complex enough that the 1st season doesn't 100% explain everyone's mysterious past. Towards the end, however, you do get a little taste of their past that makes you want to continue on with the series. The animation is good and there is plenty of action and comedy to keep this anime interesting. There is no smut and maybe a little ecchi, but not enough to categorize it as ecchi.

The same goes for romance levels. There may be a slight harem element to it only because the MC is a professor who turns out to be a hero in disguise. The ladies (student, staff, etc) can't help but be enamored and the men (staff, not so much students) either envy him or hate him, and some may have a little bit of both. The storyline is a little complicated, but if you stick with it, it will be worth the time and effort you've invested in it. I am unsure of the originality of Akashic Records' storyline because I don't normally watch teacher animes.

No need to discuss censorship as there is nothing to censor.

Opinion: Season 1 is completed and binge worthy. Akashic Records takes you by surprise as you start to love the laziness of the MC in the beginning. The relationships between this teacher and his students are touching and it has a Mighty Ducks, Bad News Bears, or for you newer generation, cheering for the underdogs kind of feel to it.

For the sake of not spoiling too much, I'll say to watch it and find out what I'm talking (writing) about.

Rating: I give Akashic Records 8 late-study hall assigning professors out of 10.

As always, I do not own any of the pics posted to this blog.

Trinity Seven (Anime)

Title: Trinity Seven Anime
I don't own this pic, but it's soooo cool!
Date Aired: October 2014

Genre(s): Comedy, harem, magic, fantasy, ecchi, romance, school, shounen, supernatural, biblical, action

Completed or Ongoing: Completed

Plot Summary: A young boy ends up surviving the end of the world to awaken to another world. In it he ends up meeting 7 powerful witches (all females, of course). When enrolls into their school, various events occur in which he fights to prevent the destruction of this world.

Review: The characters personalities and relationships meld very well together. For a harem, it is important that each character to have a strong relationship with the MC (main character) and each other. A little rivalry isn't bad either, but a complete dislike for all harem members is a turn off. The illustration is what attracted me to this anime in the first place (sorry, but I know my biases) The animation had clean lines, nice colors and breasts... Leading on to the smut. Very ecchi. Romance has to be there and the relationships the MC had with the eight (hint hint) was again, strong. The storyline is beautiful and can get confusing, but if you were following along you would be asking yourself "where's season 2?" There are plenty of mangas that have magical harems that save the world, so this storyline isn't 100% original. For example, Shinmai Maou no Testament, Seiken Tsukaino World Break, Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut, and Masou Gakuen HxH (check out the blog for HxH) to name a few. It doesn't mean that it doesn't bring a certain freshness o the genre. With all the ecchi, harem, and romance the question got to be what is censorship like? Well, it is censored. I'm sure there is an uncensored version, but I haven't seen it. The funny thing is that Trinity Seven is censored to make you think that it's not censored. When the clothes rip, they are either ripped strategically or something conveniently covers them. This anime is worth watching. If you decide to binge watch this anime, it would be time well spent.

Opinion: OMG, this anime is sexy and smutty and just the way I like it. if it wasn't for the censorship it would be at 100, but it is not and I don't care. The storyline more than makes up for it. The powers each character possesses depends on what sin they stood for. Yes! This anime is slightly biblical in that it references the 7 deadly sins: lust, greed, envy, pride, sloth, wrath, and gluttony. Each of them are experts in their respective sin and has to portray the opposite of their sin, so lust is "virginal". This is one manga you would hate to miss.

Rating: I give this anime 9 ripped panties out of 10. Just because of those censors. Damn you censors!

As always, I do not own this image!

NeW tErMiNoLoGy AlErT!!!!!

Biblical: Any Christian/Catholic-based or bible-based animanga. Heavy on the Jesus, God, crosses, bibles, and biblical stories, characters, plots, etc. Seikon no Qwaser was a choice between biblical or breastmilk...guess who won?
