Plot Summary:

A teenage boy wants to own a restaurant and become a better chef than his father. His father closes down their diner to travel the world to continue his culinary journey so he enrolls his son into his alma mater, Totsuki Culinary Academy, an elite culinary school where only 10% of the students graduate. As soon as the boy gets there, he starts making enemies by declaring that he would be #1 in the school's Elite Ten student council. Will he be #1 or will he be part of the failed 90%?

Review:

Shokugeki is still as good as its 1st season. The animation and storyline is still the same. However, now that the Autumn Festival is over it's time for a new development. A hostile takeover or a civil war of sorts. Erina's father, Azami, has come back to Totsuki, but not as a student or teacher, but as the new director! It's out with the old and in with the new as Azami kicks out Senzaemon and transforms Totsuki into his dream school where only elite food can be achievable by standing on the shoulders of the giants who created it. There is no need to improve or innovate anything as the only recipe one needs to learn is already prepared exactly the way it needs to be. Leave your personalities, desires and creativity at the door, follow everything that Azami and Central tells you, and you will be elite too.

Opinion:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Azami is a bully! He wasn't born as a Nakiri, but he took it over like he was one. He broke up the Elite Ten and created Central, minus a few Elite Ten members who did not fit his ideals, things will never be the same again. Souma and the Polar Star dormitory crew have to try to figure out how to get Totsuki back to its former glory or get expelled. This becomes a fight for not only their dorm and school lives, but for all of the Totsuki chefs who have been forced to close their clubs and quit their specialties in their chosen culinary skill. Souma better be ready to face Central. At the end of the day, they were once former Elite Ten members anyway. How can they win? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, the suspense is killing me!!!!!! (But not by much because I'm reading the ongoing (and further than anime) manga)

Wortenia Senki

Plot Summary: A high school boy gets summoned to another world by someone with bad intentions. He kills them, runs away and ends up saving female twin slaves. They swear loyalty to him and has magic abilities that defy the logic of his original world, however, he wants to go home.

Review: The storyline is redundant. Boy gets mysteriously summoned to another world that's RPGish (role-playing gameish). Even though it's a 'been there, done that' kind of theme, it doesn't stop it from being interesting, especially when the MC already knows how to fight. The character profiles are just coming together. There is enough information to give you a basic sense of how the personalities of the characters will come into play in the future.

While the art is slightly pointy, it's still not unattractive. Ecchi is everywhere and explains why harem is part of the genres, however, from what I I've already read, smut is not there...yet. Wortenia Senki does censor, but no surprise there. It's still fun to read though. Definitely look into this one, but go slow as it does take a while for updates.

Opinion: This manga had me asking "Who's Earth's god?" Wait until you get to this chapter! I have been following Wortenia since April and boy do I feel like a stalker...just kidding, but no really it takes soooo long to update. I wouldn't recommend binge reading for this one. By the time the next chapter comes out, you may have to back track to remind yourself what happened. Trust me on this one, you might want to take this one week at a time.

Wortenia Senki is not bad, it's pretty good actually. I wonder how this would look in an anime...

Rating: I give Wortenia 8 sets of twin slaves out of 10. Enjoy!

Boku no Hero Academia (Season 1 anime)

Plot Summary: About 80% of the human population has evolved to develop super human abilities or "quirks" that allow them to become government paid super heroes. The MC is part of the 20% and wants to be a hero. How will he become one?

Review/Opinion: I only watched 2 episodes of this anime and I think it was 2 too many. The start was slow and I didn't even find out how the MC became a hero until I read another site's plot summary.

I couldn't do it, however, I do see that this anime is very popular (and I don't know why). If it floats your boat, enjoy. 

I think the lines are drawn too thick and dark, and I find that unappealing. The storyline is slow...everything is slow. My Hero Academia is one anime that I couldn't watch, hence the review and opinion combination. So not worth saying or watching more than this.

Rating: I give My Hero 1 out of 10...END!....(so mad I did this review...)

Shinmai Maou no Testament (Season 1 anime)

Plot Summary: A teenage boy with a dark past is told by his father that he now has 2 sisters to look after. Later, based on all the supernatural events going on, you can say that there's a lot more to these girls than meets the eyes.

Review: Shinmai Maou has a twisted, edge-of-your-seat driven plot that arouses your attention and senses. Many secrets are revealed and no one can or should be trusted. There may be other animangas with this intricate storyline, but the way Shinmai hides various details and with how they tell the story, is in a class of its own.

The animations are gorgeous. The artists used a lot of shadows to emphasize how dark this anime can get. Each character has varying degrees of smut with the MC. Each character forms a master-slave pact with the MC in which everyone in the pact can get stronger, however, ecchi things must be done in order for the pact to activate. The personalities of all the characters were unique, distinctive and clearly represented in how they act around each other and the MC.

The levels of ecchi, smut, and romance are high. The uncensored version was released so this anime will not rate low. Just considering the desire for uncensored makes this anime a bit more enjoyable and worth watching.

Opinion: Why did this anime slow down after Burst (season 2)? I'm still waiting for season 3, to explain that ending... This anime was so good that I'm already thinking about the next seasons. Watch the uncensored version because the censored version is all steam (literally) and you may want to turn the volume down. There is definitely a lot of moaning and screaming that will wake the neighbors. Take your time with this anime. There is enough smut and ecchi to make your nose bleed.

Rating: I give this anime 9 nosebleeds out of 10 and only because...WHERE THE HELL IS SEASON 3?!?!?

Lilith's Cord (Manga)

Plot Summary: This manhwa is based on biblical characters such as Adam and Eve. It also includes demons called succubi. A man, the MC, stumbles onto a succubus and is infected by her. His body becomes possessed by a male succubus, one of the most powerful succubi to exist. How will he continue to live his life and what plot has he stumbled on that may affect the outcome of existence?

Review: Lilith's Cord is so smutty and so ecchi that the storyline gets lost. There is no way to not lose focus because sex is everywhere. It's part of succubi culture afterall. The summary I've read suggested that the succubi where from Adam's 1st Eve and that the male MC is from the 2nd Eve, or is he?

This manhwa is ongoing and takes a long time to update. This really is an over 18 kind of thing. Lilith's Cord is in color and the only things they censor are penises, the entrances to the vaginal canal, and booty holes. Sweaty bodies and bodily fluids from all genders don't get censored. Nipples, however, are fair game.

Obviously the ecchi, harem, and smut is extremely high in this manhwa, maybe even higher than Trash, so readers beware of where you read this one. Manhwas are pretty out there and I didn't expect the censorship. It kinda dulls the ecchi that is this manhwa just a bit. This manhwa could be an original, but I highly doubt it. Leave a comment below if you can find a manhwa, manga or manhua that has a similar storyline.

The characters' profiles were strange and mysterious. One is never sure what they're thinking when various events occurs. I am still unsure of the personalities so far. Everyone has a past that slowly unravels as the story progresses. The art is good, but the relationships between the characters can get confusing. It should make for some interesting reading. I will definitely continue to read this.

Opinion: This book is basically porn. Reading it in a crowded area may get you a few, comments, looks, wet and may be a hard on. Again, it is censored a bit. Anyone who knows anything about sex will blush when they decide to read over your shoulder.

Lilith's Cord has an interesting storyline that draws you in. It is just getting started so the characters, storyline is not 100% developed yet and it is slow in updating. I will continue to read this one because I want to see where it goes, who is the succubus possessing the main character, and what is the 1st Eve's role in all of this? And... why are there 2 Eve's anyway??

Rating: I give this manhwa 8 sexual assualts out of 10 and boy there sure are a lot!

Trinity Seven (Anime)

Plot Summary: A young boy ends up surviving the end of the world to awaken to another world. In it he ends up meeting 7 powerful witches (all females, of course). When enrolls into their school, various events occur in which he fights to prevent the destruction of this world.

Review: The characters personalities and relationships meld very well together. For a harem, it is important that each character to have a strong relationship with the MC (main character) and each other. A little rivalry isn't bad either, but a complete dislike for all harem members is a turn off. The illustration is what attracted me to this anime in the first place (sorry, but I know my biases) The animation had clean lines, nice colors and breasts... Leading on to the smut. Very ecchi. Romance has to be there and the relationships the MC had with the eight (hint hint) was again, strong. The storyline is beautiful and can get confusing, but if you were following along you would be asking yourself "where's season 2?" There are plenty of mangas that have magical harems that save the world, so this storyline isn't 100% original. For example, Shinmai Maou no Testament, Seiken Tsukaino World Break, Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut, and Masou Gakuen HxH (check out the blog for HxH) to name a few. It doesn't mean that it doesn't bring a certain freshness o the genre. With all the ecchi, harem, and romance the question got to be what is censorship like? Well, it is censored. I'm sure there is an uncensored version, but I haven't seen it. The funny thing is that Trinity Seven is censored to make you think that it's not censored. When the clothes rip, they are either ripped strategically or something conveniently covers them. This anime is worth watching. If you decide to binge watch this anime, it would be time well spent. 

Opinion: OMG, this anime is sexy and smutty and just the way I like it. if it wasn't for the censorship it would be at 100, but it is not and I don't care. The storyline more than makes up for it. The powers each character possesses depends on what sin they stood for. Yes! This anime is slightly biblical in that it references the 7 deadly sins: lust, greed, envy, pride, sloth, wrath, and gluttony. Each of them are experts in their respective sin and has to portray the opposite of their sin, so lust is "virginal". This is one manga you would hate to miss.

Rating: I give this anime 9 ripped panties out of 10. Just because of those censors. Damn you censors!

Seikon no Qwaser (Manga)

Plot Summary: This was a complicated, yet beautifully intricate story of two sisters who got involved in a battle for humanity. A religious war between the Catholics and Orthodox had begun. The end goal is to find out the real truth behind Jesus Christ. People named Qwasers have powers that needs to charge by sucking women's breast(s). What they draw out of suckling is something called soma. A type of strength giving force; mother's milk I guess?

Not all Qwasers are "good" or "evil". Maybe misunderstood or extremists is the better term. Seikon no Qwaser had so many betrayals that you will second guess who is on what side. Or, if there is even a side at all.

Review: This manga was great. The romance between the characters was a little frustrating, but worth the wait. Even the side characters' relationship developments had to work for their love interest. I don't usually give the plot away and I still won't now, hoever, if someone asks nicely, I may put it on my blog (or vlog), My Animanga Cray Show where I discuss the chapters or episodes of my usual genres.

I have read in the comment section (on the site that I read the mangas on) that my fellow otakus were lost. That's why I say Seikon is complicated. But, I will break it down, but sgsin, only if asked. Seikon no Qwaser is well worth the time. I recommend you go slow as soon as you get lost. 

Opinion: I didn't know this manga had an anime until I was surfing for a pic.As I was reading Seikon, I kept thinking that this should have been an anime too. The storyline, however, is so tricky and unbelievable that I understood why some readers got lost. That is not including the amount of adult, ecchi, romantic, yuri, content included. 

Have you ever watched a show called CrashBox on HBO? They had a segment on the 15 minute show called Distraction News. In this segment ,they told a fact while a shit load of random things popped up all over the screen while she was talking. At the end of her lecture, they asked a series of questions to see how distracted you were. This manga used breast, violence, and rape, sex, S&M, etc as distractors, thus preventing you from following along with the story. Don't fall for it! The story is good!

It was also extremely religious and "historical" (<= depending on which way your beliefs lean). Giving up any more than this would give the twists, secrets, and surprises away. It is well worth the time invested though.

Rating: Everything about this manga rates high for me. Storyline, character development and profile, its genres levels, and illustrations. In terms of originality, it may have been done before, but I haven't seen it. This ended up being one of my favs, (Kaikan Phrase being my #1) so I hope that the anime doesn't disappoint. 

I give this manga 9 soma drained titties out of 10. You won't feel bad wasting your time on this one

Shokugeki no Soma (Anime and Manga)

Ongoing or Completed: Both are ongoing. The anime is on season 2. The manga is on chapter 176

Plot Summary: A young boy is thrown into a tough culinary school where he battles against other students in an "Iron Chef" like match called Shokugeki.

Review: The anime is well drawn. I must warn you that it's very ecchi. On all angles of the gendersphere. This anime takes food/ingredient descriptions to a whole new level. It is also very censored. 

This doesn't take away from the ecchiness known by most animes. Of course, there are uncensored ecchi, but that's not the focus for this animanga (sry, I got lazy). If you like cooking shows or anything similar, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Opinion: This is one of my favorite animangas. I don't watch it for the ecchi, although the fact that it was ecchi was what led me to this manga and consequently it's anime. Like all (from the ones I've read) manga remakes, the anime misses and remakes a few of the scenes. Not that it was a bad thing. Like I said I like Shokugeki, they've made me a fan. 

Oh, and the anime stretches the scenes to be longer than they should be. For example, it's season 2 and we're still trying to figure out who won the big tournament. I will not give spoilers, but I do recommend this anime and it's manga. I prefer to read mangas first. Depending on the storyline, though.

Rating: The characters' profiles, developments and illustrations are good. I like the storyline because it's not overly complicated and it caught me hook, line and sinker in both forms. Shokugeki, I wouldn't think, has originality since I imagine a lot of cooking animangas run along similar tales. 

If I were to compare the level of ecchi to spicy food, I'd say it was fairly mild. Yes, they have foodgasms in the nude, (spontaneous stripping is what I'll call it) but it's censored. However, like I said, it isn't a deal breaker. Ecchi is there, strongly at that, but I've seen worse IMHO.

Out of 10 jiggly titties, (because that's ecchi), I give Shokugeki no Soma, the anime, an 8 out of 10. I give the manga a 9 out of 10.
